Recruitment can be stressful and you may not know what to expect from it. We understand this, and we are here to help alleviate that stress in anyway we can! Something as simple as knowing what to wear can help you feel confident and ready to put your best foot forward into recruitment week. For more inspo, check out our Pinterest page!

Day 1: Open House Round

Happy first day of recruitment! Today, you will visit all four chapters and have the opportunity to get to know the sisters a little better! During this round, houses will tell you a little more about their mission, philanthropies, and goals. You will also be able to experience the unique personalities of not only each chapter, but of the sisters of those chapters. For this day, put yourself out there to connect and make conversation with active members. They will ask you questions about yourself, but also remember to ask them questions as well! The goal for this day is to get to know the chapters and sisters better.

STYLE GUIDE:

During recruitment week, each round is more formal than the last. The first day is the most casual, so feel free to wear jeans, a cute top, and tennis shoes or sandals. Think something you would wear for a nice brunch or a day date. Remember, the most important part is that you feel confident and comfortable!

Day 2: Philanthropy Round

Congrats for making it to Day 2! You are now entering the invitation only rounds of recruitment, which is a big deal! You may attend up to three parties this day, all of which are an hour long. Today will give you insight into each sorority’s unique philanthropy and you will learn how they give back to the community. Nationwide, Greek organizations raise over $8,000,000,000 in charity for non-profits. This is your chance to see how exactly our Panhellenic sororities give back. For more info about philanthropies, check out our Chapters page to learn more about specific philanthropies.

STYLE GUIDE: Day 2 is more formal than Day 1, and we encourage PNMs to dress as such. A sundress or nice blouse and pants with casual wedges or sandals is perfect for this round.

Day 3: Preference Round

One more day until you find your forever home! On this day you can attend up to two Preference parties, each lasting 60 minutes. This is the day to really focus on what you want to gain out of joining a sorority. An invitation to a Preference event means that the sorority is very interested in you becoming a member. After participating in a ceremony, you will have the chance to talk privately with a member. During this time, the member may share with you how she made her decision, what her sorority means to her personally, and what sisterhood encompasses. After the last party, you will come back for the final voting!

STYLE GUIDE: Pref Night is the most formal night of recruitment week, and it is invite only, so we encourage our PNMs to respect that by dressing accordingly. For this round, think something you might wear to a wedding or similarly formal event. Steer away from prom or homecoming attire, but rather, think an elevated party or gala. We want to reiterate that we want you to feel MOST comfortable, so if you have a question about your outfit, ask your Rho Gamma or reach out to us via our instagram page!

Day 4: Bid Day

Recruitment week ends with Bid Day! Today, Potential New Members will open their bid card, sign a few forms, and finally be reunited with their new sorority sisters!

STYLE GUIDE: For this day, wear something that you can easily put a shirt over, like a tank top or athletic shirt and shorts, jeans, or leggings. Each sorority has a unique bid day theme. You will receive a bid day shirt that fits this theme from your new sorority to wear to your bid day party, where you will celebrate finding your new home with your sisters!
